This one off paddle venture is to raise funds for Matuku Link, a conservation and education venture in the Bethell’s Valley. Protection of wildlife, replanting the wetland forest and converting an old barn to a Wetland Education Centre are our aims. The navigable part of Waitakere river is accessible only from private land and on this one day, access will be allowed.
Supported by: Auckland Canoe and Kayak (kayaks and safety support crew); Bethell’s Beanz (coffee makers), Babich wines and many others!
Limited tickets available for only $60 each, all gear (kayaks, paddles, life vests etc) and instruction provided. Suggested minimum age is 12 years. Please indicate your preference for the start time of your two hour peddle: 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm or 3 pm – Update per 28th February: all SOLD OUT! Sorry!
