Tuna kuwharuwharu / Longfin Eel Soft Toy – $30

Tuna kuwharuwharu are the largest freshwater eel species in the world. Females can grow up to 2 metres long and live for over 100 years! With dark colouring, a pale belly, and distinctive wrinkles when they bend, these wetland giants are truly one of a kind.

They live in cold, clean lakes and rivers, and make an epic migration to deep ocean trenches near Tonga to breed, just once at the end of their lives.
