Usually visits to Matuku Link are by appointment only, for working bees, events or education. But now our Annual Open Day is almost upon us! Celebrating World Wetland Day on the 2nd of February, this year on 2-2-2020 from 10 am to 3 pm and we’re inviting everyone. If  you’ve been before, be prepared to see some big changes! And if you haven’t, you’ll be able to hear all about it with our guided walks.

Many of our partner organisations will join us with a stall for education and information, like Forest & Bird, Million Metres, WaiCare Connection and local produce will be available for sale. Of course our famous fundraising bbq and cake stall will be there, and we hope our eels will show themselves as well. You’ll definitely be able to hear the birdsong, admire a fantail, tui or kereru, and perhaps even spy on our resident pateke or the rare and elusive namesake Matuku (bittern).

Please join us for a day of wetland appreciation and fun.
