The best way to visit us is by attending one of our working bees, which take place every Tuesday morning 9am-noon and on the third Sunday of every month. Find out more about our working bees here. We also run a school education programme and school holiday programmes.
For other visits, we’re typically open from 9am to 2pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and by arrangement at other times. . If you are thinking of visiting us, it’s best to contact us first to make sure the gate will be open. When you arrive at Matuku Link, please make sure to sign in with us at the barn, and while you’re there don’t forget to take a look at our shop!
Please note that dogs are not permitted at Matuku Link as we have active pest control methods in place to protect our birds. Please also make sure to wear clean shoes – we’re kauri dieback free and would love to stay that way!
We also offer guided tours for groups of 6 or more people. To book a guided tour or to find out more about them, please contact us.
In addition to our guided tours, we invite you to embark on a self-guided exploration of Matuku Link! Dive deeper into the flora, fauna, and rich history of our sanctuary by strolling along our self-guided tour route. Laminated copies of the tour are available for borrowing at the Matuku Link barn, or you can download your own copy here. Enjoy a leisurely wander and uncover the hidden gems of our eco-restoration project at your own pace!
We appreciate any koha you’re able to offer, supporting our work at Matuku Link.
