Moth Monitoring at Matuku Link Reserve
Josh Campbell is a master’s student in Biological Science at the University of Auckland. His research focuses on lepidoptera (the moths and butterflies)Â and the behaviour associated with their camouflage.Â
As part of his research, Josh has been undertaking moth monitoring using light traps at Matuku Link Reserve, recording their diversity and phenology. He is excited to share with you the wonderful moth diversity he has found at Matuku Link Reserve and explain how monitoring moth diversity can be implemented as another tool in wildlife conservationists’ toolboxes.Â
