Matuku Nights is back and bat-ter than ever!
Join us for the Bat Hunt on the 21st of November. Bat-expert Daria Erastova (Project Manager at Ark in the Park) will lead the search for the elusive pekapeka tou roa! We’ll go out into the wetlands with bat detectors, to hopefully spot these beautiful creatures flying right above our heads. Do you want to have a chance to get up close to these spectacular aerial mammals and learn all kinds of fun bat facts? Book your ticket here.
Saturday 21st November 7pm – 9pm.
The bat hunt will start with a short presentation by Daria about the long-tailed bat at 7:00 pm and the night will end around 9:00 pm. We will close the evening with some hot drinks around the fire. Bring some sturdy footwear/boots, warm layers for after sunset, and a headlamp or torch (red light preferred to protect nocturnal wildlife).
Limited number of tickets available – book yours now.
We will close the evening with some hot drinks and snacks around a campfire. Bring some warm clothes and a torch – carpooling is greatly appreciated!
(PS We can’t give refunds – however if the weather gods are unkind, we will either propose a new date, or supply you with a voucher for one of our other Matuku Link Nights).
