The volunteers from Sustainable Coastlines came out for a second time! We had a variety of tasks they were happy to attack: relocate some plants, to replace the few which didn’t survive the drought, dig a drain for the barn, clear out the shed & recycle the contents, move the grass to turn it into compost or hay… and as a reward we showed them our resident eels and gave a tour through the wetland. It was a great day, enjoyed by volunteers from all parts of the world (UK, USA, Canada, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Taiwan).
