With a career as a humanitarian worker that took him to the USA, Cambodia, and Nepal, John brings a wealth of experience to our team. Since returning to New Zealand, he’s been actively involved in various conservation projects, and we’re incredibly fortunate that Matuku Link is one of them!
John and his wife Janette have been dedicated volunteers at Matuku Link for around 5 years. From weeding and planting to potting up and seed collecting, John’s hands-on approach and passion for the natural world are truly inspiring. He loves sharing his appreciation for nature, especially with his grandchildren, and credits his deep connection to the outdoors to his childhood experiences.
